PRO FOOTBALL: The Jacksonvil­le Jaguars exercised the fifth-year option in pass rusher Josh Allen’s rookie deal, keeping him under contract for two more seasons and fully guaranteei­ng his 2023 salary at $11.5 million. The former Kentucky standout and seventh overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft has 20½ sacks in three years, including 10½ as a rookie in 2019. He made the Pro Bowl as an alternate that season.

3 and Field has signed on to use technology that will give athletes an additional method to anonymousl­y report sexual abuse and other forms of misconduct. The organizati­on announced a deal with Realrespon­se, a company that serves around 100,000 athletes in nearly 1,500 pro, college, Olympic and grassroots sports organizati­ons. Realrespon­se allows users to report misconduct anonymousl­y with a text and then allows organizati­ons to easily follow up on reports without compromisi­ng the anonymity of the reporter.

MEN’S SWIMMING: Swimming’s 4 world governing body FINA said it won’t seek extra punishment for a Russian who competed at the national championsh­ips while serving a ban for appearing at a rally in support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. FINA banned double Olympic backstroke gold medalist Evgeny Rylov for nine months last week after he appeared at the rally in Moscow.
