Britain OKS Weinstein charges:

British prosecutor­s authorized charges Wednesday against former film producer Harvey Weinstein for indecent assault allegation­s stemming from 1996. The two charges were authorized following a review of evidence in a Metropolit­an Police investigat­ion, according to a news release from the Crown Prosecutio­n Service Special Crime Division. Weinstein is in prison in New York awaiting trial for sexual assault charges.

The leader of a Mexican megachurch faced more than 16 years in a California prison when sentenced Wednesday for sexually abusing three girls who were followers. Naasón Joaquín García, 53, who is considered the“apostle”of Jesus Christ by his 5 million worldwide followers, had vigorously fought charges that included child rape, until abruptly accepting a plea deal on the eve of trial.
