Spanish police investigate
1 attack: Spanish police raided the home of a Moroccan man held over machete attacks at two Catholic churches that left a church officer dead and a priest injured in the city of Algeciras. Police are investigating the motive of the assault. Officers searched the as-yet-unnamed suspect’s home to “determine the nature, terrorist or otherwise,” of the alleged crime, Spanish Interior Minister Fernando GrandeMarlaska said.
Treasury resists providing 2 Biden information:
The U.S. Treasury Department refused to provide House Republicans any suspicious activity reports it may have on foreign banking and other business transactions by Hunter Biden and other members of President Joe Biden’s family. Jonathan Davidson, Treasury’s legislative affairs chief, told House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer in a letter that he needs more details about why the panel is seeking such “highly sensitive” information.
Schiff running for Senate:

Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, 62, said he is seeking the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Dianne Feinstein, 89. The oldest member of Congress hasn’t said whether she’ll seek another term. Schiff joins a field that includes Democratic Rep. Katie Porter.
Dow cuts workforce: Materials
4 science company Dow is cutting about 2,000 jobs, or 5% of its workforce, as part of an effort to reach $1 billion in cost savings this year. The Midland, Michiganbased company currently employs about 37,800 people.
Tesla invests in Nevada: Tesla 5 said it intends to invest $3.6 billion to expand manufacturing capabilities in Nevada. The company confirmed it plans to produce high volumes of semitrucks and make enough cell batteries for 2 million light-duty vehicles annually in the state.
