Tesla to make some chargers

1 available to all: Electric car giant Tesla will, for the first time, make at least 7,500 of its charging stations available to non-tesla U.S. electric vehicles by the end of next year, under a new plan announced by the White House. Also, Tesla is recalling nearly 363,000 vehicles with its “Full Self-driving” system to fix problems with the way it behaves around intersecti­ons and following posted speed limits.

Second Amendment sanctuary 2 overturned: Local government­s in Oregon can’t declare themselves Second Amendment sanctuarie­s and ban police from enforcing certain gun laws, a state appeals court decided Wednesday, in the first court case filed over a concept that hundreds of U.S. counties have adopted in recent years. The measure in question, which was approved in Columbia County, forbids local officials from enforcing most federal and state gun laws.

Suspended deputies didn’t

3 keep bodycams on: Two sheriff ’s deputies who were suspended for five days for their role in the arrest of Tyre Nichols failed to keep body cameras activated after they went to the location where Nichols had been beaten by five Memphis, Tennessee, police officers, officials said. Shelby County Deputies Jeremy Watkins and Johntaviou­s Bowers violated multiple policies after reporting to the location of Nichols’ violent arrest Jan. 7, Sheriff Floyd Bonner said.

One killed in shooting: One

4 person was killed and three more were wounded Wednesday in a shooting at a shopping mall in El Paso, Texas. Police said two people were taken into custody.
