2 in Nevada has indicted New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara and Cincinnati Bengals newly acquired cornerback Chris Lammons in connection with an alleged beating at a Las Vegas nightclub last February. Kamara was arrested Feb. 6, 2022, after he played in the NFL Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The others turned themselves in during the days following.

Seahawks quarterbac­ks coach Dave Canales was hired as Bucs offensive coordinato­r Thursday, replacing Byron Leftwich. The 41-year-old Canales was among 10 candidates interviewe­d for the position that opened when Leftwich and five other members of coach Todd Bowles’ staff were fired Jan. 19.

Cole Hamels has agreed to a minor league contract with his hometown San Diego Padres that will pay him $2 million if he reaches the big league roster, sources said. Hamels, 39, made one start for the Atlanta Braves in 2020 and hasn’t pitched since then. He had shoulder surgery in 2021.

Odermatt won the men’s giant slalom in Courchevel, France, for his second gold medal at the world championsh­ips. Odermatt was second after the opening run but beat Swiss teammate Loic Meillard by 0.32 seconds.
