1 MEN’S PRO BASKETBALL:

Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokoun­mpo was scheduled to be in New York on Monday to undergo testing and get further evaluation on his injured right wrist, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. Antetokoun­mpo injured his wrist Thursday in Chicago after attempting to block a shot. He had X-rays and Bucks coach Mike Budenholze­r said at the time they came back clean.

2 WOMEN’S PRO BASKETBALL:

The Los Angeles Sparks have signed guard Yang Liwei, who will become the second China-born player to suit up for the team. Yang recently led China to a silver medal in the 2022 Women’s World Cup. She averaged 9.3 points, 3.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds. Yang previously played 10 seasons in Guangdong, including two with Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike.

3 PRO HOCKEY: The New York

Islanders say center Mat Barzal is out indefinite­ly with a lower-body injury. His absence is devastatin­g news for the Islanders in the middle of their playoff chase. Barzal was injured on a hit from Boston’s Craig Smith early in a 6-2 loss at the Bruins on Saturday.

4 AUTO RACING: Aston Martin says Lance Stroll has been ruled out of pre-season Formula One testing this week after he was injured in a bicycle accident. Aston Martin says the Canadian driver was hurt while training in Spain. The team didn’t give any details of the nature of Stroll’s injuries but said he expects a“quick recovery” and there will be an update on his fitness before the Bahrain Grand Prix starts the season next week.

5 HORSE RACING: Bulldog

Hanover, who last year became the fastest horse in harness racing history, is the sport’s first unanimous selection for Horse of the Year. The award was announced Sunday night. Bella Bellini, a 4-year-old mare, was named Trotter of the Year.
