New York agreed to send a seventh-round draft pick in 2024 to Baltimore, the person told the AP on condition of anonymity because teams can’t announce trades until the NFL’S new year begins Wednesday.

2 also releasing wide receiver/ kick returner Braxton Berrios in a salary cap move, according to a person familiar with the decision. Berrios, an All-pro selection as a kick returner in 2021, was due to count $8.2 million on the cap, and the sides couldn’t come to an agreement on a restructur­ed contract.

PRO GOLF: American John Catlin 3 and South African Dylan Mostert shared the first-round lead at the European tour’s Kenya Open after beginning with 64s. Catlin made five birdies and an eagle in his opening round of 7 under par. Mostert had eight birdies and a bogey. They lead by a shot over Frenchman Pierre Pineau and the Netherland­s’ Wil Besseling.

California coach Mark Fox was fired following the worst season in school history. Cal finished 3-29 after a loss in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament, setting a school record for most losses and worst winning percentage in a season. Cal went 38-87 in Fox’s four seasons.

PRO SOCCER: Paul Pogba was

5 dropped for Juventus’ match against Freiburg on Thursday in the Europa League due to “disciplina­ry reasons,” the Italian club said. Juventus did not elaborate in its statement to The Associated Press amid reports the midfielder arrived late for a team retreat. The 29-year-old has only just returned to action, making two appearance­s for Juventus following a long injury layoff.
