1 Four guilty in Jan. 6 attack:

Four people associated with the Oath Keepers were convicted on Monday of conspiracy and obstructio­n charges stemming from the attack on the U.S. Capitol in the latest trial involving members of the far-right antigovern­ment extremist group. A Washington D.C. jury found Sandra Parker, of Morrow, Ohio; Laura Steele, of Thomasvill­e, North Carolina; William Isaacs, of Kissimmee, Florida; and Connie Meggs, of Dunnellon, Florida, guilty of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and other felony charges.

2 3 guilty in death of rapper: Three men were found guilty Monday of the 2018 killing of star rapper Xxxtentaci­on, who was shot outside a Florida motorcycle shop while being robbed of $50,000. Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

3 Biden issues first veto: President Joe Biden has issued the first veto of his presidency as he seeks to block Republican-led efforts in Congress to overturn a Labor Department rule allowing retirement plans to consider environmen­tal, social and governance factors when making investment decisions.

4 Philadelph­ia to pay $10 million: The city of Philadelph­ia announced Monday that it has agreed to pay nearly $10 million to settle a class-action lawsuit with civil rights groups that claimed the police department used excessive force during social justice demonstrat­ions in 2020.

5 Kenyan legislator­s arrested: At least three Kenyan legislator­s and several protesters have been arrested in ongoing protests in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, organized by the opposition demanding the resignatio­n of President William Ruto. The opposition says Ruto was not validly elected.
