Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Cafe fails routine inspection

Newly opened restaurant now will be reinspected.

Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café in Duluth failed its first routine health inspection after opening in December.

Employees were washing their hands incorrectly and not washing them when changing tasks and gloves. Some were working with food while wearing jewelry and not wearing hair restraints.

Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café, 2180 Pleasant Hill Road, scored 49/U, down from a pre-opening score of 100/A. It will be reinspected.

Foods were incorrectly stored in the walk-in cooler. Raw eggs were stored over fresh cream and milk, and unwashed produce was over ready-to-eat foods. Several food containers were on the cooler’s floor.

A gallon of milk, a container of cream, egg yolks and liquid eggs were at unsafe temperatures. Cans of butane lighter fluid, laundry detergent and chemical cleaning agents were stored among food items. Food labeling and date-marking tapes were on equipment stored as clean.
