1 Cuomo sues attorney general: Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is suing state Attorney General Letitia James to force her to release interviews from the sexual misconduct investigation that led to his resignation. Cuomo filed the case against James on Thursday, arguing he needs the witness statements in full to defend himself against two sexual harassment lawsuits.
2 Artwork returned: New York prosecutors on Friday returned two pieces of art they say were stolen by Nazis from a Jewish performer and collector murdered in the Holocaust. The artworks were surrendered by museums in Pittsburgh and Oberlin, Ohio. Prosecutors still are fighting in court to recover a third piece by the same artist, Austrian expressionist Egon Schiele, seized from a Chicago museum at the same time.
3 Abortion referendum: Republicans who control the Wisconsin Assembly introduced a bill Friday calling for a binding statewide referendum on whether abortion should be banned after 14 weeks of pregnancy. A public hearing is scheduled Monday at the state Capitol. Democratic Gov. Tony Evers is almost certain to veto the measure. But the proposal still could galvanize the GOP’s conservative base.
4 Reality TV star’s son dies: Adam Harrison, one of three sons of reality TV show“Pawn Stars” celebrity Richard “Rick” Harrison, has died in Las Vegas, a family representative said. He was 39. A family spokesperson said Adam Harrison died Friday from a suspected drug overdose. He was not featured on the show, which does feature his older brother, Corey.
