BASKETBALL: Hailey Van Lith scored 26 points, Angel Reese had a double-double and surpassed 2,000 career points and No. 13 LSU used a late 16-2 run to pull away from Tennessee 75-60 on Sunday in Knoxville, Tenn. Van Lith, who transferre­d from Louisville after last season, had 12 points in the fourth quarter. Her jumper made it 59-55, and she followed with a 3-pointer for a seven-point lead midway through the fourth quarter. She added another basket and Flau’jae Johnson had five points in the run. Reese scored four in the decisive stretch and finished with 11 points and 16 rebounds. She has 2,006 career points. Mikaylah Williams had 15 points for the Tigers (24-4 overall, 11-3 in SEC). Rickea Jackson scored 16 points, giving her 1,009 for her career, and grabbed nine rebounds for Tennessee (16-10, 9-5).

2 PRO BASKETBALL: Miami’s Jimmy Butler and New Orleans’ Naji Marshall have been suspended one game each for instigatin­g an on-court altercatio­n during the fourth quarter of Friday night’s game, the NBA announced. Miami’s Thomas Bryant and New Orleans’ Jose Alvarado were handed three-game suspension­s for fighting and leaving the bench area. Miami’s Nikola Jovic also got a one-game suspension for leaving the bench area and entering the altercatio­n. Miami won 106-95.

WOMEN’S PRO GOLF: Local 3 favorite Patty Tavatanaki­t held off Albane Valenzuela to clinch the LPGA Thailand tournament by one stroke Sunday in Chonburi. Tavatanaki­t, 24, a Bangkok native, showcased her prowess with a brilliant approach shot to tap in an easy birdie on the final hole to card a final-round 67, finishing at 21-under 267. Valenzuela shot a 63, including an eagle on the fifth hole and seven birdies, finishing at 20-under 268.

MEN’S PRO SOCCER: Pablo 4 Sarabia headed Wolverhamp­ton to a 1-0 home win against lastplace Sheffield United in the Premier League. Sarabia’s 30th-minute strike sent Sheffield United to a fifth loss in its past six games.
