1 PRO BASEBALL: Noelvi Marté, a 22-year-old infielder who is the Cincinnati Reds’ top prospect, was suspended for the first 80 games of the season on Friday following a positive test under Major League Baseball’s drug program. Marté tested positive for the performanc­e-enhancing substance Boldenone, triggering the first suspension under the big league program since Milwaukee right-hander J.C. Mejía was banned for 162 games on Sept. 20 (his second suspension under the program). Marté was expected to be the Reds’ starting third baseman this season.

2 PRO GOLF: First-round co-leader Abraham Ancer birdied five of his final eight holes Saturday for an 8-under 62 and a five-stroke lead after two rounds of the inaugural LIV Golf tournament in Hong Kong. Ancer had a two-round total of 15-under 125 on the Hong Kong Golf Club course. Harold Varner III and Eugenio Chacarra, who shot second-round 66s, were tied for second.

3 PRO GOLF: Matteo Manassero, once a prodigy in European golf, stayed on course for a first win in more than a decade after retaining his one-stroke lead following the third round of the Jonsson Workwear Open in South Africa on Saturday. The Italian backed up his careerbest 11-under 61 in Friday’s second round by shooting 67 to move onto 20-under par. His nearest challenger­s are Shaun Norris of South Africa (65) and Jordan Smith of England (65).

4 PRO GOLF: Lydia Ko and Bailey Tardy each shot 6-under 66s on Saturday and joined Sarah Schmelzel, who finished with a 69, to top the leaderboar­d after the third round of the Blue Bay LPGA on China’s southern island of Hainan. Ruixin Liu was two shots behind the three leaders after a 69. Savannah Grewal shot a 64 — the best round of the day — and was three strokes back along with Minjee Lee (70).

PRO FOOTBALL: Philadelph­ia 5 agreed on a one-year contract with veteran Brandon Graham, the club announced Saturday, meaning the defensive end will be back for a franchiser­ecord 15th season. Graham has 73 sacks in a record 195 career games.
