1 PRO FOOTBALL: The Green Bay Packers have boosted their special teams by re-signing linebacker Eric Wilson. The 29-year-old Wilson had 13 special-teams tackles in 2022 and 11 more last year to lead the Packers in each of those seasons. He also had 24 tackles on defense last season. He made a critical fumble recovery at the end of teammate Keisean Nixon’s 73-yard punt return during the Packers’ 24-21 NFC divisional playoff loss at San Francisco. Wilson previously played for Minnesota (2017-20), Philadelphia (2021) and Houston (2021).

2 FIGURE SKATING: American figure skating star Ilia Malinin is a world champion — and a world-record holder. Malinin put on a dominant display that included a jaw-dropping six quad jumps to snag the men’s singles crown Saturday night at the world championships. After placing third in Thursday’s short program, the 19-yearold scored a world-record 227.79 in the free program to bring his total to 333.76 — more than 20 points than the rest of the field. Olympic champion Nathan Chen, also of the United States, set the previous free program record of 224.92 in 2019.

3 PRO BASEBALL: The Chicago White Sox have re-signed Kevin Pillar two days after they released the veteran outfielder. Pillar was in camp on a minor league deal before he was cut Friday. But Chicago announced before its spring training game against Colorado that it had agreed to a big league deal with the 35-year-old Pillar. Pillar played for Atlanta last year, hitting .228 with nine homers and 32 RBIs in 81 games.

4 COLLEGE WRESTLING: Carter Starocci and Aaron Brooks of Penn State have joined an exclusive club of four-time NCAA wrestling champions. Only five others had won four titles, including their coach, Cael Sanderson. Starocci beat Ohio State’s Rocco Welsh while Brooks beat longtime rival Trent Hidlay of North Carolina State. The Nittany Lions also got championships from Levi Haines at 157 pounds and Greg Kerkvliet at 285 on their way to a third consecutive team title.
