1 PRO CYCLING: Carlos Rodriguez protected his yellow jersey through a rain-soaked final stage Sunday to win the six-day Tour of Romandie for the biggest race victory of his career. Four previous winners in the French-speaking region of Switzerland went on to win that season’s Tour de France, including Chris Froome in 2013. Rodriguez placed fifth in cycling’s marquee event last year and won a stage. Rodriguez started Sunday’s flat stage, which looped around the suburbs of Geneva — won in a sprint finish by Dorian Godon — with a sevensecond lead he took by placing third in a mountain stage Saturday. The 23-yearold Ineos Grenadiers rider kept that winning margin over runner-up Aleksandr Vlasov, the 2022 Romandie winner. Florian Lipowitz was in third place, nine seconds back.

2 PRO MEN’S GOLF: Three-time PGA Tour winner Brendan Steele held off Louis Oosthuizen to win the LIV Golf Adelaide tournament in Australia by one stroke. Steele shot a final-round 68 on Sunday for a 54-hole total of 18-under 198, earning his first victory since he won his second Safeway Open in 2017 on the PGA Tour. South Africa’s Oosthuizen shot 65 to finish second at 199, and he had drawn within one stroke of Steele late in Sunday’s final round, only for the American to make some clutch pars in the final holes.

3 PRO MEN’S SOCCER: Thousands of fans lined the streets Sunday as Inter Milan was paraded in an openair bus from the San Siro stadium to the city cathedral to celebrate the Nerazzurri’s 20th Italian league title. The celebration followed a 2-0 home win over Torino on Sunday, which came six days after Inter sealed the title with a derby victory over city rival AC Milan.

4 PRO WOMEN’S SOCCER: Lyon will play Barcelona in the final of the Women’s Champions League after beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the semifinal second leg and 5-3 on aggregate in Paris. Selma Bacha and Melchie Dumornay scored for the visitors Sunday. The May 25 final in Bilbao, Spain, will be a rematch of the 2019 and 2022 finals won by Lyon, the most successful club in the competition, with eight titles.
