- From staff and wire reports

Georgia State offensive tackle Travis Glover was selected by the Packers in the sixth round (No. 202 overall) of the NFL draft on Saturday, the fifth Panther ever drafted and first since wide receiver Robert Davis in 2017.

Glover, who went to Dooly County High, was a first-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2023 as a sixth-year senior. GEORGIA TECH: Tight ends Dylan Leonard and Luke Benson signed free agent deals after the NFL draft. Leonard, from Milton, signed with the Broncos. Benson signed with the Chargers. Leonard was a walk-on in 2019, then earned a scholarship within a year. He played in 52 games, with 31 starts, over five seasons, finishing with 41 catches for 387 yards. Benson played the past two seasons at Tech after transferring from Syracuse, appearing in 25 games with 10 starts. — CHAD BISHOP, AJC

DRAFT ATTENDANCE: The draft set an attendance record after more than 775,000 fans flooded downtown Detroit for the three-day event. Detroit beat Nashville’s three-day attendance record of 600,000 set in 2019.

The NFL did not charge fans to attend the event in Detroit, though the visitors and area residents were expected to generate more than $160 million in economic impact at downtown hotels, bars, restaurants and retail stores. Twenty-plus teams are engaged in talks with the league to host a future draft. Green Bay is next year’s host.
