1 COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Vladislav Goldin withdrew from the NBA draft and will join his coach from FAU, Dusty May, at Michigan. Goldin, a 7-footer, averaged 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game and shot 67% last season for FAU. He declared for the draft but with the option to return to school. Goldin played one season at Texas Tech before transferri­ng to FAU. May was named Michigan’s coach in March after six seasons at FAU, which he led to the Final Four in 2023.

2 PRO BASEBALL: Major League Baseball plans to modify its uniforms by the 2025 season following complaints this spring from players and fans, ESPN reported. The changes will include restoring larger lettering on the nameplates and correcting for mismatched gray tops and bottoms, pants that sometimes are seethrough and fabric that looks different when players sweat. The changes were detailed in a memo distribute­d to players Sunday, and will take effect by the beginning of 2025.

3 PRO SOCCER: Brazil defender Thiago Silva, 39, will leave Chelsea at the end of the season after four years at the club. He made the announceme­nt Monday, saying he is leaving the door open for a return to Chelsea “in another role” and saying “goodbyes are for those that leave and don’t come back.” He said in a message to fans,“I intend on coming back one day.” Silva joined Chelsea in 2020 after his contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired. He said he planned to stay at the English club for only one season. He continued playing for the team after winning the Champions League at the end of his first season there.

4 PRO HOCKEY: The Kraken fired Dave Hakstol as the third-year franchise took a significan­t step back following a playoff appearance in its second season. Hakstol was a finalist for the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year last season as Seattle reached the Western Conference semifinals. But the Kraken tied for fifth in the Pacific Division this season after going 34-35-13. Hakstol went 107-112-27 in his three seasons.
