Stephen Karam makes his directoria­l debut with his self-penned adaptation of his 2016 Broadway play, which won both the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize. The action takes place at Thanksgivi­ng, as the Blake family gathers at the rundown apartment of Brigid Blake (Beanie Feldstein, “American Crime Story: Impeachmen­t”) and her boyfriend, Richard (Steven Yuen, “The Walking Dead”) in New York’s Chinatown. Jayne Houdyshell reprises her Tony-winning performanc­e as the Blake family matriarch, in an ensemble that also includes Richard Jenkins, Amy Schumer and June Squibb.

10 p.m. on SYFY Intergalac­tic

Realizing that authoritie­s on the Commonworl­d are conducting an intensive search for the Hemlock, the fugitives try to commandeer a ship that is home to a scientist, Professor Hague Blake (guest star Michael Smiley), an extreme eccentric with his own menagerie of animals. Blake once worked closely as a colleague of Emma Grieves (Natasha O’Keeffe), but now he has far more sinister plans for his former ally. Savannah Steyn and Sharon Duncan-Brewster also star.

10 p.m. on Showtime Even More Funny Women of a Certain Age

Emmy nominee and SAG Award winner Teri Hatcher (“Desperate Housewives”) makes her debut in a stand-up special as she leads a cast of female comedy veterans in this 90-minute offshoot of the ongoing comedy club showcase “Funny Women of a Certain Age.” Carole Montgomery, who created the original showcase, joins Hatcher onstage along with Wendy Liebman, Monique Marvez, Leighann Lord and Marsha Warfield, who talk about sex, dating and the sometimes comical ways they navigated the pandemic.
