Dennis Ray Beason was born in, Placerville, California, on December 18, 1946 to Ray and Imogene Beason. Dennis was the oldest of five children, all raised in McFarland, CA where Dennis met his wife, and soulmate, Linda Anderson. While in high school Dennis excelled in football which led him to a college career at both Bakersfield College and Fresno State.

Dennis and Linda were married on June 21, 1969, and settled in Madera, CA where they welcomed their first child, Debbi. Soon after they moved back to McFarland and had a second child, Darren. In 1976 Dennis and Linda moved their family to Bakersfield, CA into the home where they would spend the next 38 years and were also blessed with a third child, Kristi. Dennis loved his family, his friends, good food, and the Dodgers. If he was in the same room as a baby or an animal, it didn't take long for their attention to be all on him and his distinctive, soothing voice, or even for them to be climbing right up and making themselves comfortable on his lap.

One of Dennis and Linda's favorite things were trips to the lake with dear friends John and Jeanne Ross. After tragically losing their spouses, Dennis and Jeanne found comfort and love in one another, marrying on October 4, 2020. This union not only joined two close families together but also brought peace after a storm.

Dennis was preceded in death by, his parents, wife Linda, and sister Becky. He is survived by; wife Jeanne, children; Debbi (Jon) Shetrone, Darren (Heidi) Beason, Kristi (Brent) Marley, and bonus son, Kevin (Angela) Hatcher. Grandchildren; Tanner and Garret Beason, Madison Shetrone, Kayelin, and Emerson Marley. Three step-children, seven step-grandchildren, and five stepgreat-grandchildren. Sister; Janice Eaton. Brothers; Kerry and Steve Beason. Inlaws, numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family, and many, many friends.

Dennis' contagious smile, sneaky barstool pinch, strong handshake, and enormous hug will live with us forever.

A celebration of life is planned for: Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11:00am at 1933 Speakeasy Bar & Grill.
