In 1989, Dr. Richard Casteen started Capital Dental Group. His vision was simple: to provide unrivaled convenience and service to patients.
His vision came to fruition over the years as the practice evolved from a single-doctor office in downtown Bakersfield to an 18,000-square-foot facility in southwest Bakersfield that features seven general dentists, four dental specialists, four hygiene doctors and an in-house dental lab.
But don’t let its size fool you. Capital Dental Group still retains the experience of a small private practice as patients are assigned to a single doctor who will see them for all their visits. This allows patients to know their doctors and doctors to know their patients. Each doctor has their own dedicated team and support staff so patients will see the same faces each time they visit. But by having multiple doctors on staff, Capital Dental Group can treat patients the same day for dental emergencies.
Capital Dental Group treats the whole family and offers a wide range of services, from general exams and cleanings, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, emergency dentistry and more.
The full-service dental office is open seven days a week to accommodate patients’ busy schedules, giving them the option to schedule appointments early in the morning, late in the evening or on weekends. In-house financing makes treatment affordable, and the Capital Dental Group Membership Club makes high-quality dental care accessible for children and adults without dental insurance for a low monthly fee. Capital Dental Group also offers sedation dentistry for anxious patients.
In 2005, Dr. Casteen established the Center for Implant Dentistry inside the walls of Capital Dental Group. The supplementary practice is home to an implantologist, prosthodontist, periodontist and oral surgeon to provide comprehensive dental treatment under one roof.
The Center for Implant Dentistry focuses on tooth-replacement solutions, such as dental implants, dentures, and dental bridges, and combines unrivaled expertise and state-of-the-art technology to give patients the smile they’ve always wanted. Dr. Casteen and prosthodontist Dr. Robert Willis have over 60 years of combined dental implant experience and can give patients a new set of teeth in as little as one day with the revolutionary All-on-4 treatment concept.
