MARY FAHSBENDER

November 20, 1938 - April 15, 2022

Mary Fahsbender, beloved wife of Kenneth Fahsbender passed away peacefully at home on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 83 years old in Bakersfield, California.

Mary was born on November 20, 1938 to Ezra and Sarah Suderman in Hillsboro, Kansas. Her family moved to Shafter, CA. in 1954. She graduated from Shafter High School in 1956 and attended Bakersfield College. Mary wed the love of her life, Kenneth Eugene Fahsbender, on June 4, 1957. Together they had three children Bryan, Sandy and Lori.

Mary volunteered at Guild House for over 50 years, serving in many positions, including twice as President. Guild House has recently named their kitchen Mary's Kitchen in her honor. Mary also played a major role in the family business Stockdale Music. Mary and Ken enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren in Cambria and numerous family Easter vacations. Mary loved being a wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.

Besides her loving husband Ken, Mary is survived by her children Bryan (Teresa) Fahsbender and Sandy (George) Clerou. Her grandchildren John, Steven and Daniel Clerou, Haley Capetillo, Eric Fahsbender, Taylor Fahsbender, Adam Smith and Brian Fahsbender. She is also survived by eighteen precious greatgrandchildren that she loved dearly and her brother Chuck Suderman.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Ezra and Sarah Suderman and by her daughter Lori Fahsbender.

The family would like to thank Hoffmann Hospice and mom's caregivers Virginia, Leslie, Sparkle and Sarah for their loving care.
