Man accused of tampering with body at train-vs.pedestrian accident
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office assisted BNSF Railroad Police in investigating the case of a pedestrian who was struck by a train in Wasco around 8 a.m. Friday and arrested a man on suspicion of tampering with the accident scene.
The KSCO arrested Resendo Tellez, 27, on suspicion of removing items from the crime scene and for multiple outstanding warrants.
According to the KCSO website, Tellez was booked into Lerdo jail on suspicion of removing a body part from somewhere other than a cemetery, possessing controlled substance paraphernalia and violating his probation.
Videos on social media show a man waving an item as deputies arrive, and many on social media believe it is a severed body part.
The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for
an elderly man who went missing Wednesday in the 8300 block of Rosewood Avenue.
Norberto Sandoval, 80, is described by police as Hispanic, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 110 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on Sandoval is asked to call the BPD at 661-327-7111.
A 13-year-old boy went missing Thursday in the
Jayden Gonzalez is described by the BPD as Hispanic, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for
a man suspected of burglarizing and vandalizing a business in the 900 block of Sumner Street on March 11. The man is described by the BPD as Hispanic, 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short black hair and tattoos on his back and arms. According to police, he was last seen holding a small gray dog and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, white shirt and dark jeans.

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for
a man suspected of stealing a woman’s wallet from her purse at WinCo in the 4200 block of Coffee Road on Feb. 28, according to police.
He is described by the BPD as a tall and thin Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s. He was seen wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans, and black and white athletic shoes.
