Eight is great for Dionysus Brewing Co. The local brewery is celebrating its eighth year in business on Saturday with a celebration featuring special brews, live music and food trucks.

Dionysus opened in 2016 with five beers on tap. Heading into a saturated craft beer scene, it aimed to stand out with a focus on sours and barrel-aged beer.

These days its offerings include beers like Rose Sauvage, an American sour ale aged in oak with raspberries, and Arcadian, a Brett saison aged in tequila barrels with citrus, as well as hard seltzers and beer slushies.

Beer lovers will have plenty to celebrate on Saturday with Guava Paradise, a sour ale with guava and ginger, which will be available on tap and in cans to go.

The brewery will also serve new barley wine along with its other brews, michelada flights, beer slushies and hard seltzers.

Food trucks Bucky’s Hot Chicken and Oh, Boy! Po’boy will be set up serving plenty of snacks to enjoy all day.

Local band Dancing Tommy will perform from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The fun runs from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday at the brewery, 6201 Schirra Court, Suite 13. Visit @dionysusbrewing on Instagram for more details.

Also on tap for the brewery is a hot new expansion. Soon it will launch the first in a line of Dionysus Hot Sauces.

These unique hot sauces can be paired with your food, micheladas and beer slushies.

The first flavor released will be Citrus Tears, a habanero citrus hot sauce with carrots, garlic and other spices that will be perfect on chicken and shrimp.
