Families invited to explore Spectacular World of Science!
Enjoy the insights of a science fair without the pressure of finishing a project at the last minute at Saturday’s Spectacular World of Science!
In its 11th year, the event at the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History & Science offers this year’s Kern County Science Fair first-place winners a chance to share their exhibits once more before moving onto the state competition. (See below for a list of first-place winners.)
Special awards will be presented to the children including certificates from Mayor Karen Goh.
The fun-filled day of science will also include science demonstrations, reptiles, experiments and hands-on activities for all ages courtesy of museum staff, a scientist and science vendors.
The event is made possible thanks to the support of the Kern County Science Foundation, JLM Associates and the Kern County Superintendent of Schools.
All proceeds benefit the museum’s educational programs.
The event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the museum, 2018 Chester Ave.
Admission is $10, $8 for seniors (60 and older) and students (ages 12 and older), $6 for children ages 3 to 11, free for members and children 2 and younger.
Call 661-324-6350 for more information.
Come join the museum staff, scientist and science vendors for a fun-filled science day:
