STEVEN FRED WHITE
July 31, 1959 – April 5, 2024
San Clemente – Steven Fred White was born on July 31, 1959 in Bakersfield, California to Fred and Joanne passed away after a brief illness on April 5, 2024.
Steven graduated from North High School in 1977. Steven joined the family business White Construction and worked alongside his father Fred for many years. After the business closed he worked in construction for several companies before becoming a Division of the State Architect (DSA) Inspector where he was the inspector for School Site Construction. He had spent the last 10 years working in San Diego County. Steven loved his job and all of the school employees and construction contractors.
Steven loved Football and Nascar. In his early years he was an avid hunter and went all over the world with his Father Fred hunting big game. Steven's favorite thing to do in his time off was drive his beloved golf cart around San Clemente and give people free rides. As he would say “Totally Free, I go as far as the outlet mall”. He always said “My mother never met a stranger”, neither did Steven.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents , Fred and Joanne White and Nephew Daryl Friesen. He is survived by his wife Suzanne and his sisters Kathryn (Brad) Allen, Cristine Ary, brother Forrest White (Colleen) and his children Fred White, Whitney (Brock) George, Sarah Schuler, Andrew (Ciera) Schuler as well as 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and greatnephews.
Above all else Steven was a man of great kindness and generosity and quick wit and humor. He was ferociously loyal to his friends and had many many friends. He will be truly missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be on April 27, 2024 at 11:00 am the Elks Club, 1616 30th St. Bakersfield, CA 93301.
