BPD searches for missing boy, 17

A 17-year-old boy went missing around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 6500 block of Lowry Street, according to the Bakersfiel­d Police Department.

Kevin Valenzuela was described by BPD as Hispanic, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

BPD asks that anyone with informatio­n call 661-327-7111.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 45-year-old woman who

went missing on Feb. 27, 2022.

Michelle Langford is described by KSCO as white, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 145 pounds with dark blond hair and blue eyes. She also has the character “Stitch” tattooed on her right forearm and fairy tattoos on her left forearm. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing, according to KCSO, which did not say where she was last seen.

The Kern County coroner’s office has identified the man who was shot and killed in a

parking lot at River Boulevard and Panorama Drive at the Bluffs on April 19.

Ronald Josue Rivera Hernandez, 24, of Bakersfiel­d died there at about 11:20 p.m., according to the coroner.

The Bakersfiel­d Police Department is investigat­ing and anyone with informatio­n is asked to call BPD at 661-327-7111.

A man was shot at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday and died at midnight Wednesday in Lamont,

according to the Kern County coroner’s office.

Xavier Buenrostro, 21, was shot in the 7900 block of Buena Vista Boulevard and he died at the scene, according to the coroner.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office investigat­ed a shooting in the 1300 block of

Washington Avenue in Oildale around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Two people were detained and no one was reported injured as of Thursday morning, according to KCSO.

Visiting on Saturday is canceled at the Lerdo PreTrial and Justice Facilities

due to a maintenanc­e project, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. Normal visitation hours will resume Sunday.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office will collect unused prescripti­on medication­s on

National Prescripti­on Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the KCSO headquarte­rs, 1350 Norris Road in Bakersfiel­d.

KCSO will only accept prescripti­on and over-thecounter pills, capsules and sealed liquids. Syringes and illicit drugs will not be accepted.
