Tehachapi DJ found guilty of sexually abusing 4 girls
A well-known Tehachapi DJ was found guilty of sexually abusing four girls from 2004 to 2012, according to the Kern County District Attorney’s Office.
Roy Michael Kirk was found guilty of four counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. According to the DA’s office, the four girls ranged in age from 5 to 11 and three of the victims were molested for a continuous amount of time. Kirk became friends with parents of the girls, according to the DA.
Kirk could be sentenced to up to 100 years in prison, according to the DA. His next court hearing will be Monday, when the court is scheduled to pick a sentencing date.
A Washington man died in a boating incident at Lake
Ming around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, according to the Kern County coroner’s office.
Kyle Lee Cannon, 62, of Brush Prairie, Wash., was ejected from a boat near the dock around 1:45 p.m. and was taken to Kern Medical, where he later died.
A man was shot to death around 6:45 p.m. Thursday
in the 800 block of V Street, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Police said the man was dead upon officers’ arrival and the Kern County coroner’s office will release his name.

A 13-year-old boy went missing Thursday, accord
ing to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
Seday Galvan was described by the KCSO as Hispanic, 4 feet, 11 inches tall, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark colored jeans and black shoes.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a
woman who went missing on April 12, 2020.
Andrea Luciano, 48, is described by the KCSO as Hispanic, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She has the word “Theresa” tattooed on her chest and a rose tattooed on her leg.
