Grace Zucaro

LEONIA - Grace Zucaro, 89, of Leonia, passed away peacefully on Monday July 31, 2023. Born in Cliffside Park to James Padovano and Grace (nee D’Avanzo).

Grace graduated from Cliffside Park High School and began her career as an Executive Secretary and office manager. Her career spanned 59 years uninterrupted. Her last position before retiring at 83 was managing her daughter, Grace’s, dental practice in Ridgefield for 19 years.

In her later years, Grace learned how to golf. She enjoyed years of fun and outings with her golf club friends, some of whom became her lifelong close friends, especially Ruth, Sandy & Linda.

Always calling, checking in, inviting everyone, sharing lunches, dinners & visits. Grace kept her family & friends close in her heart.

Her niece, Melinda especially brought her daily joy, always sharing private personal hopes, wisdom & current events in their world and the world out there.

Grace is predeceased by her husband Paul (2017). She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Grace Zucaro and her husband Frank Romano, sister Linda Stumpp and her brother in law, William, her niece Melinda Stumpp & nephew Richard Palazzo and wife Karen, cousins Denise & Charles Monteforte.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 4th from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 7:00 to 9:00pm at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave, Ridgefield. Funeral Saturday gathering 9:00am at the Funeral Home for a 10:00am Mass at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Leonia. Entombment Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee.
