GLEN ROCK - Theresa Philomena Gilligan, age 77, formerly of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully with her family at her side October 15, 2023. Terry led her life passionate­ly dedicated to helping others in their health journey. Trained as a Registered Nurse, Terry began a lifelong effort in holistic health focused on body, mind, and spirit from her home in Glen Rock. Through these efforts she helped countless people in their nutritiona­l needs, with care and compassion. Fun-loving, outgoing and strong-willed, she brought energy wherever she went. Even through the challengin­g times of Alzheimer’s disease, Terry was cheerful and shared a smile with all she met. Loving mother of Thomas William Gilligan (Jodi Lee), Laura Margaret Gilligan and Patrick William Gilligan (Kelly). Adoring grandmothe­r to Travis, Matthew, Johnathon, Garrett, Riley, Joseph and Matthew. Cherished sister of Barbara Armstrong (Charles), Clare Osoba (Theodore), Helen Geismar (Edward), Joseph Finucane (Susan), and Maryann Young. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was predecease­d by her beloved husband of 52 years William F. Gilligan, her parents, Matthew and Clara Finucane, and her brothers, Michael T. and Richard Finucane and sister Margaret Finucane-Boos. Visiting hours are Friday, October 20th 5-8PM at Feeney Funeral Home, Ridgewood. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 21st at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Ridgewood. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
