RIDGEFIELD - Beloved mother, loving wife, dearest friend and devoted fan of Barry Manilow passed away surrounded in love on November 2, 2023, at the age of 74.

Born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey, Dianne enjoyed her childhood and fondly recalled times spent working with her father, Stanley, or adventures with her brother Richard. She trained as a legal secretary, learning to type and take shorthand like the wind; skills she utilized while working her first job for Jacob and David Friedland in the heyday of Hudson County politics. The stories she enjoyed telling of this time in her life is the stuff Hollywood scripts are made of.

From there Dianne took a job with the New Jersey Department of Education where she met Edmund, her husband of 44 years; they became true partners in the tapestry of events that culminated in the wondrous life that they worked so hard to build and most thoroughly enjoyed.

Together Dianne and Eddie would settle in Ridgefield, New Jersey where Dianne would spend the next 50 years in service to her community. She would be a steadfast pillar providing whatever assistance she could to the local school system, children and families. It is a testament to her character that her family has received e-mails, calls and letters too numerous to count that speak only to Dianne’s tenderness and altruism.

Dianne was stalwart in nature, possessed a heart that only knew joy and she expressed only kindness; traits that made her a shining example of motherhood. Being a mother, and later a grandmother, or “Mimi” as she was known, was never a responsibility but a vocation embraced. She adored and loved her children with all her heart; instilling in her sons and daughter a fantastic sense of wonder of what life has to offer and encouraged them to always follow their dreams. Her grace, gentleness, diligence and passion is the foundation of which her family was built. Dianne would lead her family on adventures around the world and happy times spent in her favorite place, Disney World; it was there she could relax and delightfully watch her children, and later grandchildren at play.

Dianne took pride in working with her husband and later her son Luke, in helping build their medical practices. Those that entered these doors found solace in her smile as she greeted them and never did a person leave their service without being improved in mind and heart by interacting with her gentile disposition.

Any description of her happiness would be amiss without including Dianne’s fandom of Barry Manilow. With “Barry” as the catalyst Dianne found a love of music and became part of a greater community that brought countless adventures and joyous hilarity. True to her nature, Dianne and her friends channeled all of this positive energy into public service to manage the Broadway Cares Basket program that brought Christmas gifts to each HIV positive child treating in a New York City Hospital. In charity and merry exploits, she traveled the globe with her Barry friends and they were there for her until the very end.

To say that Dianne is survived by her beloved family lessens the extent to which their lives will be the perpetual memorial to the gifts she bestowed. Her beloved husband passed in 2015, their loving children Lee Eyerman, Esq. and his wife Katie; Dr. Luke Eyerman with his wife, Wendy; Hon, Brian Eyerman, J.W.C., and Kelly Eyerman Morris with her husband Thomas Morris III and her dearest grandchildren, Alexandra, Anastasia, and Emily Eyerman and Thomas, John “Jack” Edmund and William Morris remain grateful to a woman that spared nothing to see them smile. Her cherished sibling Richard Decker and sister- in- law Angela Decker and their children Richard and his loving wife Megan and Robert and his loving wife Dena join in the grief of losing someone so loving, kind and giving.

Family and friends are welcomed for a visiting on Thursday, November 9 th from 5-8PM at William G. Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ. A mass of Christian burial will be offered at Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ on Friday, November 10th at 10AM, all asked to meet at the church.
