LITTLE RIVER - Christophe­r M. Lampione, 65, passed away on January 28, 2024, at his place of residence in Little River, South Carolina. Chris was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic, N.J. He grew up in Pequannock, N.J. Chris attended Holy Spirit School and graduated from Pequannock High School in 1976. While living in Pequannock, Chris was active in sports and coached youth football for several years. He was also a member of UNICO and the Knights of Columbus.

Chris graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 1980, with a B.A. in Business Administra­tion. He had a deep love for his Alma-mater. Chris leaves behind many lifelong friends who will miss his quick wit and loyal friendship. Chris kept all his buddies laughing with his uncanny ability to recall their Notre Dame years together in great detail.

After many years of living in the Passaic County area, Chris moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He loved the warmer weather, the beautiful ocean and the whole southern atmosphere. Most recently he moved further north to Little River, where he found solace in living by the ocean and in closer proximity to two of his five siblings.

Chris is survived by his siblings, Margaret and her husband Paul De Gise, Robert Lampione, Gina and her husband Steve Miller, Mary and her husband Carl Richardson and Jaimee and her husband John Togneri; three nephews, six nieces, four great-nephews and two great-nieces.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Agnes Lampione.

A memorial service will be held on March 16, 2024 at Holy Spirit Church, 318 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pequannock, N.J. at 11:00 a.m.
