Irene Jeyowski

LODI - Irene Jeyowski (nee Gierek), 100, of Lodi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 8, 2024. Irene was born and raised in Passaic, settling in Lodi in 1945. Irene was a secretary at Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Wood-Ridge for 42 years. She was a devout and active parishioner of Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Passaic for over 100 years. She was the president of the Holy Rosary Rosarians for 15 years, a member of their leisure club, as well as a lector for 18 years. She also enjoyed participating with the Lodi Seniors, going to Maine every year, trips to Atlantic City, and spending time with her cherished family. Irene was the beloved wife of the late Leo Jeyowski, devoted mother of Linda Robbins and Jayne Heyman and her husband, Seth, loving grandmother of Laurèn and her husband, Jeff, Kristin and her partner, Bryan, Keith and his wife, Jacqueline, and Kevin and his wife, Kristin, dear great-grandmother of Zachary, Madison, Brooke, and Clara, caring sister of Hermine “Minnie” Sippie, Jean Montelone, Ronald Gierek and the late Raymond Gierek, and many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Ave Wallington, and the funeral at 9 AM on Thursday. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 AM at Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Passaic and the interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
