After an exciting season, the following bowlers have been selected to the 2024 All-North Jersey boys bowling teams.

The North Jersey Boys Bowler of the Year will be announced at the North Jersey High School Sports AwardsNort­h Jersey High School Sports Awards, presented by Englewood Health, on June 28. All firstteam bowlers are nominees for Bowler of the Year.

FIRST TEAM Max Heun

St. Mary senior

Heun carried the top average in the NJIC (209), helping the Gaels to go 15-6 in match play and reach the North 2, Group 1 semifinals. He placed third in the stepladder finals at the Bergen County individual tournament after averaging 220 in qualifying and recorded a high game of 277.

Andy Lee

Bergen Catholic senior

Lee’s 209 average in Big North play tied him for the conference lead and powered the Crusaders to a 17-3 record and the United Division crown. He had a 268 in the final game of the Bergen team tournament and a 248 high game in the county individual tournament, plus a high series of 737.

Michael McCloskey West Milford senior

The Passaic individual champion (625 series) also won high game at the tournament (257) and led his county with a 203 average. McCloskey’s high series in league action was 730, and he had the fourth-best finish of any North Jersey bowler at the NJSIAA individual finals, placing in the top 60.

Rohal Patel

North Arlington junior

Patel fired 44 games of 200-plus, best in North Jersey, and averaged 205 for the North 2, Group 1 champion Vikings (21-4), who finished just 7 points out of first in the stacked NJIC Meadowland­s. He also averaged 211 at the Bergen County individual tournament to finish in the top 10.

Mark Rigano Lyndhurst junior

Besides shooting the top three-game series in North Jersey this season (768), he had a 279 high game and placed second in the Bergen County individual tournament. Rigano averaged 207 overall for the Golden Bears (19-1), propelling them to the Meadowland­s Division and NJIC Tournament titles.

Jake Willis Indian Hills senior

A repeat first-team selection, Willis tied for the highest average in the Big North (209), leading his team to a 13-0 record and the Patriot Division title. His fourgame 856 series helped the Braves win the Bergen County Groups 1-2 team title, and his best three-game set of the season was 724.
