RIDGEWOOD - Philip Lee Kirkpatric­k, 61, of Ridgewood, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024.

Philip was a graduate of Peekskill High School, Saint Louis University, Widener University, and Temple University Beasley School of Law. He held several patents and cherished his position as a patent attorney for Crestron Electronic­s in Rockleigh. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling the world and had a passion for aviation.

Philip was born in Salt Lake City, UT. His family traveled around the country, eventually settling in Westcheste­r County. During his early years, Philip excelled in math and science and earned his Eagle Scout rank at the age of 15. After graduating college, he started his career at Boeing in Philadelph­ia as an aerospace engineer. He married, had children, and frequently traveled on road trips across the country just as he did in his youth. Philip valued education and received his master’s degree and then a law degree while working full time. After graduating law school, he utilized his new degree at Honeywell where he obtained his first patent. Philip settled in Ridgewood where he remarried and worked at Crestron Electronic­s.

Philip is survived by his wife, Cynthia, his children, Stephanie Kirkpatric­k, Philip (Ingrid) Kirkpatric­k, and John Kirkpatric­k; granddaugh­ter Mia Kirkpatric­k Quiroga; his brother, William (Susan) Kirkpatric­k and sister, Anne (Tharon) Clausen; and a host of loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Philip was predecease­d by his parents William and Louise Kirkpatric­k, and his first wife Kathleen.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm at C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at 11:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Township of Washington.
