Konstantinos “Gus” Sernekos

-

TEANECK - On Thursday, April 18, 2024, Konstantinos “Gus” Sernekos, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in the company of his daughter-in-law, Paloma Sylvan. He was eighty eight.

Gus was best known for his kindness, his easy going nature, unending generosity, and the twinkle in this eye. He was soft-spoken, but always listening, and always ready with a funny comment that took you by surprise. In his younger years he served in the Naval Reserves where he spent a short amount of time on the USS Wisconsin (BB-64). He also worked in New York City as a pipe coverer until he retired. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, and collecting watches, but the love for his wife of 55 years, Regina Sernekos, eclipsed all. We take comfort in knowing they are together again. He is survived by his son, Rob and his wife Paloma; his son Dan and his husband Charles. He also leaves his seven grandchildren, Raymond, Maggie, Kayla, Justin, Quinn, Jayda, and Nekos who always held a special place in his heart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. The Mass will be livestreamed, please click here to watch, https://olmmparish. org/home/live-streaming/. Burial will be private. A celebration of his life will be held on a future date for all those who knew and loved him as nothing would please him more than knowing we all came together.

In lieu of giving flowers, the family asks that those who are able instead donate to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name. Arrangements by Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, to share a memory or offer a condolence visit: RemickGendron.com.
