Of Ashland, formerly of Natick, passed away after a long illness on August 4, 2022. Beloved husband of Maureen (Perry) Fleming of Ashland. Devoted father of Keith Fleming of Hudson and Scott Fleming and his wife, Paula (Charest) of Natick. Dear son of Kathryn (Andrews) of Natick and the late William Fleming. Brother of Judi Fleming and her husband, Leo Tetrault of Hadley, John Fleming and his wife, Lois (Dwelley) of Ashland, Bill Fleming of Framingham, and Scott Fleming and his wife, Nanette (Shepard) of New Canaan, CT. Loving grandfathe­r of Ryan and Kathryn Fleming. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Michael was born in Passaic, NJ, on July 29, 1948 to William and Kathryn Fleming and spent his formative years in Natick. He was a proud graduate of the Natick High School Class of 1966. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was drafted at the age of 20 during the Vietnam war. He married his wife, Maureen on May 25, 1969. Before his time in the Army, Michael went to college at Tampa University in Florida and then began working as an accountant after his military service. His last 20 years or so he worked as a tax accountant for McNitt and Company in Wellesley. He was an avid golfer, a member at Sassamon Trace Golf Course in Natick for several years, he enjoyed vacationin­g with his family on Cape Cod and was a member of the Natick Elks for 50 years. He was also an avid sports fan and loved rooting for all the local sports teams as well as watching the games. Visiting Hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON on Thursday, August 11, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Followed by Military Honors at 6:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Private.
