MILLER, Wendy (Malvin)

-

Wendy Lynn (Malvin) Miller was a force of nature. Standing at only four feet, ten inches tall, her impact on the world was inversely related to her size. Wendy, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on December 11, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Wendy was born in Queens, New York to Anne and Irwin Malvin. She was raised in Rockville Center, NY. At the age of eighteen, she embarked on a lifelong journey with the love of her life, Stephen Joel Miller, whom she married on December 3, 1961. Wendy was a loving mother to David (Allison), Karen (Ted) and Barry. Her most cherished title in life was Grammy – a role she embraced with all her heart. She was beloved by grandchildren, Hayley (Robbie), Nikki, Lulu, Alyssa, Griffin and Carly. They never went more than a week without speaking to Grammy and eagerly answered when she called.

Wendy was an entrepreneur, running her own business, Beadazzle, for more than twenty years, an avid card player and more than anything, a walker. Wendy walked most days of her adult life, logging more than enough miles to circle the earth twice.

Wendy was warm, loving and a good listener, making her a cherished friend to so many. She had a quick wit and was known for Wendyisms, one liners delivered unexpectedly and at just the right time. She lived her life on her own terms and in keeping with a line from her favorite musician Jimmy Buffett– “I’d rather die while I’m living than live while I’m dying.” There will be a private service for Wendy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity close to your heart.
