Several opportunities to get some fresh air while learning some local history have been presented.

Haunted Boyertown, now affiliated with Building a Better Boyertown (BBB), has announced upcoming dates for their Haunted and Historical Walks — and “walkless walks” — around Boyertown.

New this year — Haunted Boyertown has announced walkless haunted and historical walks aboard the Colebrookdale Railroad’s Eerie Limited. These excursions are slated for the second Friday of each month through December; the next one is July 8. The twohour round trip will include ghost stories.

For more information about the Eerie Limited or the purchase tickets, visit <colebrookdalerailroad.com>. Proceeds from these excursions will benefit the Colebrookedale Railroad.

The group’s walking tour dates include July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 1, and Oct. 15. Haunted Boyertown Historic Ghost Walks begin at 8 p.m. at the Boyertown Borough Hall, 100 S. Washington Street.

On Saturday, July 16, the walk will highlight properties where there is known or suspected paranormal activity. There are two walks, on Reading Avenue and East Philadelphia Avenue. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. Reservations can be made at <hauntedboyertown@gmail> or 610 367 0630.

Looking ahead, on Sept. 17 Charles J. Adams, III will be selling and signing books and leading a Haunted and Historical Walk around Boyertown at Oktoberfest. A book signing will be in the Inner Core Parking Lot at no charge. This walk will leave from the Boyertown Borough Hall Community Room at 8 p.m. Tickets will be $18 adults and $15 for students.

Copies of Haunted Boyertown are still available at $15. The book is written by Charles J. Adams, III. All profits from the sale of this book go to Boyertown area non-profits.

Haunted Boyertown is planning additional events for this year. For updates, check the Facebook page and website for Building a Better Boyertown.
