There will be a Historic Walking Tour on Sunday, Sept. 24, from Noon-4 p.m. Guests will be treated to a guided tour of the homes and buildings that existed in town since 1866. Tickets purchased prior to Sept 24 will be $10 and are on sale at the BBB office and Frecon’s Orchard. Tickets purchased the day of the tour will be $15.

A “Walk Down Memory Lane” will be shared with the community at Walnut Woods on Sunday afternoon October 9. Good old-fashioned pie and conversation will be available to all.

A new time capsule will be filled with current and timely interests to the Boyertown citizens and buried in the Boyertown Community Park on Friday, Oct. 21. Watch the Sesquicentennial website for more information on the upcoming events at <www.boyertown150. com>.

After all events have been held, a yearbook of the year will be put together and will available as soon as possible.

The last event of the 2016 “Sensational Summer” – the annual Turning Leaf Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, October 8 in the Boyertown Community Park from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The rain date for the Fall Festival is Sunday, October 9.

The Fall Festival will have live music on two stages, crafts and activities, and lots of good food all day. The hayride will take you through the park from 1-5 p.m. Come early and plan to stay the entire time. You can make a scarecrow, paint a pumpkin, make your own caramel apple or sit and have a bowl of hot soup and enjoy the music or just the beauty of the park. Take a walk on the one mile walking trail with all of the activity. We invite vendors that would like to participate to contact us soon.

The newest addition to the Boyertown Bear family will be introduced to the community at the Fall Festival. The Park & Recreation Board and Borough Council are very excited to make the presentation.
