At their Feb. 6 meeting, Boyertown borough council approved a motion to amend the parking ordinance in relation to residential parking permits. Several streets have been added to the list.

The additional streets include: Highland Street from South Madison Street to the borough line; Third Street from South Madison Street to the South Franklin Street; South Jefferson Street from Philadelphia Avenue to Third Street; South Monroe Street from Rhoads Avenue to Third Street; Rhoads Avenue from South Monroe to South Madison Street; Rhoads Avenue

from South Berks Street to the borough line; and North Washington Street from East Fourth Street to East Sixth Street.

Back in January, the borough announced an experimental parking restriction of a two hour parking limit for those locations.

Affected residents can obtain residential parking permits and visitor permits at no charge at Borough Hall building on Washington Street.
