JHW Dance Marathon raises $30K to fight cancer.

-

On Friday, March 17, Boyertown Junior High West held their 13th annual Dance Marathon. The West Dance Marathon committee set a goal of $20,000 for the event — the students raised just over $30,000. The school record was previously $27,800.

Proceeds for the event benefit the Boyertown Relay for Life.

The Dance Marathon ran from approximately 1-9 p.m. and over 400 students were signed-up to participate.

The West Dance Marathon began as a “No Place for Hate” activity 10 years ago raising funds for Diversity Education programs at the school. This is the 10th year the West Dance Marathon has benefited the Boyertown Relay for Life. During that time, the West students have raised over $187,000 in the fight against cancer.
