GAIN CONFIDENCE and FIND YOUR VOICE

To many, speaking in public presents a fear greater than death. They may break out in a cold sweat just thinking about giving a presentation - at work, in their community or in volunteer organizations. For many, their career depends on speaking to groups. Yet, because it terrifies them, they avoid it or do it poorly and then fail.

Open house guests have an opportunity to meet and interact with current members -novice to seasoned Toastmasters. They’ll see and hear members demonstrate typical club activities - prepared and impromptu speeches, speech evaluations and more. Guests will discover how they can benefit personally from the Toastmasters’ program. For example, the program teaches you how to:

• Engage and connect with any audience

• Overcome nervousness and anxiety

• Use verbal and non-verbal communication skills

• Focus your message eliminate fillers, distractions

• Achieve commanding executive presence • Ignite your career “Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Poor Performance” — Stephen Keague, The Little Red Handbook of Public Speaking and Presenting

The club is open to anyone over 18 regardless of speaking / business experience, race or religious affiliation. This diversity helps everyone contribute, improve and grow.
