Library to take place at Boyertown Community Park on Sept. 22.
For the second year Phat Cat Nation will be hosting a community disc golf tournament at the Boyertown Community Park. All money raised will benefit the Boyertown Community Library. The event is open to the public; spectators as well as participants are welcome.
The day promises to be a fun event and is open to all levels from the novice player to the die hard golfer. There will be raffle prizes and door prizes which have all been donated by local businesses and individuals. The day will tee off around 9 a.m. (registration 8 a.m.) but early birds will be welcomed with coffee, donuts, and a bake sale organized by the fundraising committee of the Boyertown Community Library. Lunch is also being provided for a $5 fee. New this year will be a glow round to begin at approximately 8:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Phat Cat Nation is a local disc golf group with over 650 members. Many of them will be on hand during the day to help any new golfers. Last year’s event enabled thelibrary to continue to make improvements to their new building as well as continue to offer great programming for all ages.
