Body found in rural area ID’d as Pottstown woman
State Police announced Saturday that the body found Friday in this rural Berks County community was that of a one-time Pottstown woman.
State Police at Reading identified the victim as Cherylann Clark, 31, formerly of Pottstown.
An autopsy was scheduled to be performed Saturday at Reading Hospital, but as of late Saturday night, state police said the cause of death was unknown and still being investigated.
Clark’s body was discovered early Friday morning by a hunter in a wooded area along Dotterer Road, east of Club Road near the Pike Township boarder with Oley and Earl townships.
The hunter called police, who were dispatched to the scene around 6 a.m.
The Pennsylvania State Police major case team and the Berks County Coroner’s office are investigating the death.
