Attempted luring reported near school

BOYERTOWN >> School officials are warning parents about a possible attempted luring near a district school Thursday afternoon.

According to information posted on the Boyertown Area School District website, “at approximately 3:55 pm this afternoon, the Boyertown Middle School West office was contacted by the Boyertown Police Department to notify the school that they are investigating a report from a West student regarding an attempted child luring.”

“Police are investigating the report of a white male in his 40s in a blue Jeep Liberty who approached a student in the 300 block of Linden Alley this afternoon,” the district reported.

The student is safe and the police are following up on the report.
