Your Smile Is Our Specialty
What Is A Prosthodontist?
A Prosthodontist is a dental specialist who has completed dental school plus three additional years of advanced training and education in an ADA-accredited prosthodontic graduate program. Dr. Smith completed her training in prosthodontics at UCLA, plus an additional residency year learning to make intricate oral and facial prosthetics.
Attention
The best thing a clinician can do is listen to her patients. Only then can she provide a plan that is tailor-made for those unique needs and goals. Through careful planning, prosthodontists offer an extremely high level of care to patients with complex or cosmetic dental needs.
Technique
Prosthodontists are highly trained in stateof-the-art techniques and procedures for treating many diverse and complex dental conditions and restoring optimum function and esthetics. Combining these techniques with the best materials and technology available is key to providing a lasting dental restoration.
Dr. Andrea Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University where she graduated as Class Valedictorian of the Eberly College of Science. She then attended the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City, where she again graduated as Class Valedictorian with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Upon her graduation from Columbia, Dr. Smith was presented with the Van Woert Award for Highest Academic and Clinical Achievement, the Award for Divisional Excellence in Prosthodontics, the Award for Divisional Excellence in Periodontics, the Award for Divisional Excellence in Oral Radiology, and the overall Highest Academic Achievement Award.
