Author pens children’s book of comfort
The book aims to help children become aware of the presence of God
Elverson author Jan Gill Dwyer recently released a new children’s book of comfort, “God says: ‘I am with you Always.’” Published by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan. The book is available on Amazon.
The book aims to help children become aware of the presence of God everywhere. “Always” means at all times and on every occasion.
“Jan’s unique voice speaks to children as God calls them. Learning God is with them always, sending His angels to guard them and more. This is instrumental in children believing they never walk alone. God is just a prayer away,” stated the publisher in the release.
Dwyer has a dual certification, a Bachelor of Science degree plus 28 graduate education credits, from West Chester University. She furthered her education with the University of the South, school of theology, education for ministry, under the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania as well as studies in creative writing.
During the course of her career, Dwyer taught preschool through 12th grade as well as primary and intermediate special needs students. She also owned and operated an equine therapy program involving mainstreamed summer camps for handicapped and able-bodied children.
A long-time advocate for children, Dwyer strives to educate each child to his or her highest potential.
“She knows God loves all children, red, yellow, black, brown and white, all being precious in His sight,” stated the publisher in the release.
She also published “Colors of a City, Philadelphia,” which is available through Amazon.
Dwyer raised two children, John and homeschooled Joelle, who now together, own and operate a software engineering company in Arlington, Va.
Currently, Dwyer enjoys being a floating teacher at The Good Shepherd Learning Center at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Douglasville, as well as writing and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren, RaeLynn Sky and Lincoln Jarold.
The cover design and artwork are by graphic arts designer Susan Bolinger, who has a degree in graphic design and graduated with top honors from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She enjoys freelancing in the graphic arts field. Her other love is horses.
“Susan dedicates her work for this book in memory of her horse Boone, who took Jan and her on many fine adventures,” the release stated.
