AIM Academy is set to offer Summer Enrichment Program
Did you know research shows that all young people experience learning losses when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer?
AIM Academy’s fourweek, in-person Summer Enrichment Program in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County (July 3-28) can help students catch up or build momentum through dynamic learning experiences integrating research-based teaching methods and creative, hands-on activities.
Explore Your World in grades 1-5
This summer, each grade will explore a different corner of the globe!
Students will focus their reading, writing, math and humanities instruction on the people, places and animals of their region.
By the end of the program, each child will become an expert in their subject and will astound you with their knowledge during our annual Summer Showcase.
For full-day students, AIM’s action-packed afternoons include STEAM, arts, sports and games, not to mention special events on Fridays.
Be a Superhero in grades 6-8
It’s a bird … it’s a plane … it’s summer at AIM! Join us as we weave real-life and fantasy-inspired heroes into literature, math, art and science.
“Take to the skies” with our hands-on STEAM activities and learn how you can be a hero in your own community. Will you be brave enough to step up and answer the call? Join us to find out.
Full-day students also have the opportunity to participate in four weeklong afternoon intensives covering a variety of high-interest areas, including the arts, science, sports/fitness and outdoor adventures.
Learn about Leadership in grades 9-12
Each year, our Summer Seminar explores the Philadelphia region through a different learning lens. This year, students will engage in on-campus learning and offcampus excursions through the lens of Government and Citizenship.
During this four-week program, students will learn about different types of government, what it takes to lead and what it means to be an active citizen.
Students will think critically about how they would design, establish and maintain their own form of government.
Hands-on projects, guest appearances by local elected officials and weekly field trips are all built into the Summer Seminar experience.
The design of this program encourages student discussion and critical thinking, broadens background knowledge and supports the development of essential 21st century studentship skills. This is a morning-only program that runs from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Dates: July 3-28 (no program July 4)
Time: Full day, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; morning only, 9 a.m.12:30 p.m.
