Robert (Bob) G. Lewis, 80, of Sara­sota, Florida, passed away De­cem­ber 20, 2018, peace­fully at his home sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily. Orig­i­nally from Jack­son, Michi­gan, Bob and his wife, Cindy, moved to Sara­sota for re­tire­ment in 2006. Bob was a wel­l­known and skilled bar­ber for over 54 years. He owned a bar­ber­shop in Jack­son, Michi­gan where he gave many first hair­cuts to his long-stand­ing clients’ chil­dren and grand­chil­dren. He also was a real es­tate bro­ker in Michi­gan. Af­ter ar­riv­ing in the Sara­sota area, he cut hair at the Braden River Bar­ber­shop in Braden­ton. Bob had a kind­hearted spirit and was loved and re­spected by all who knew him.

Bob is sur­vived by his wife of 32 years, Cyn­thia, his sis­ter, Shirley (James) Buck­han­non, brother-in­law’s, Dan (Liz) Kennedy, Tracy (Re­nee) Chaf­fee, his ten chil­dren; Michele (Ge­orge) Bock, Robert (Cathy) Lewis, Jr., Har­vey (Theresa) Ambs, Pamela Perry, Tamela (Wal­ter) Dent, John Lewis, Cami (Gary) Oliver, Coni (John) Sul­li­van, Michelle Hom­merd­ing, Melissa (Mike) Schoo­ley. In­clud­ing nine­teen grand­chil­dren, six­teen great­grand­chil­dren, sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. Along with two pre­cious Yorkies; Polo, his side­kick, and Sami. Bob was pre­ceded in death by his first wife, Jac­que­line. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all. A spe­cial thank you to Tidewell Hospice for the com­fort and lov­ing care pro­vided to Bob and his fam­ily.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life will be held on Sat­ur­day, Jan­uary 12, 2019 at 3PM at the Bayshore Gar­dens Com­mu­nity Church, 6228 26th Street West, Braden­ton, Florida 34207.
