No. 4 Vir­ginia stays per­fect with road win

Kyle Guy had 13 points, De’An­dre Hunter scored 12 and No. 4 Vir­ginia im­proved to 15-0 with a 6343 vic­tory over host Clem­son on Satur­day in Clem­son, S.C.

Clem­son started the day with a na­tional cham­pi­onship foot­ball pa­rade and cel­e­bra­tion just a few steps away at Death Val­ley. The bas­ket­ball Tigers (10-6, 0-3 ACC) hoped to add to the good feel­ings with their first win over Vir­ginia since 2012. In­stead, the Cava­liers (3-0 ACC) turned up their trade­mark de­fense and held Clem­son to 25.9 per­cent shoot­ing (14 of 54).

Mar­c­quise Reed led Clem­son with 14 points. pack (14-2, 2-1) beat the Pan­thers (11-5, 1-2) in Raleigh, N.C.

Iowa 72, No. 16 Ohio St. 62: Luka Garza scored 16 points, Tyler Cook had 15 points with eight re­bounds and the Hawkeyes (14-3, 3-3 Big Ten) rolled past the Buck­eyes (12-4, 2-3) in Iowa City for Ohio State’s third straight loss.

No. 19 Buf­falo 88, Mi­ami (Ohio) 64: Jeremy Har­ris scored 17 points, and the Bulls (15-1, 3-0 MAC) shook off a cold-shoot­ing start with a de­ci­sive sec­ond-half run to cruise past the RedHawks (8-8, 0-3) in Amherst, N.Y.
