Cham­ber of­fers anti-ha­rass­ment train­ing for busi­nesses

The Amherst Cham­ber of Com­merce is of­fer­ing a course to help busi­nesses meet the new state man­dates for train­ing to pre­vent sex­ual ha­rass­ment.

Be­gin­ning this year, New York is re­quir­ing all busi­nesses to pro­vide anti-sex­ual ha­rass­ment train­ing for their em­ploy­ees each year. New work­ers must re­ceive this train­ing within their first month on the job.

The cham­ber is of­fer­ing a two-hour course, led by a panel of ex­perts, that com­plies with the state man­date. The course runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 28 at the SUNY Erie North Cam­pus in Amherst. Af­ter­ward, par­tic­i­pants re­ceive cer­ti­fi­ca­tion that they’ve met the state re­quire­ment.
